It was on the 9th of December, 2001, that our temple had its inauguration. Sri BalaGanapathy, kindly donated by Sri Ramakrishna Rao of San Antonio, now in His own garbhagudi outside of the main temple, presided over the inner sanctum. All the other deities we have were not even thought of! Sri Sreeram Hariharan, our Chief Priest, a mere 23-year-old, had just arrived. He captivated the entire audience by his crisp rendition of the Vedas and his performance of the various poojas.
The building: it was just a shell. Some called it a warehouse. Now that warehouse has been transformed into a magnificent temple. Omkara Mahaganapathy presides over the main sanctum. We have all the major deities of the Hindu Pantheon to meet the needs of the devotees. There is a Rajagopuram, dhwajasthambham, a cultural hall (Saraswati Nilayam), Homakundam and, uniquely, Sarparaja,
We have two excellent priests, both capable of providing services in both Saiva Sampradayam and Vaishnava Sampradayam.
We are celebrating our 10th Anniversary on Saturday, the 10th of December and all are cordially invited to come and attend this auspicious function. It will also be a Karthika Deepam celebration. The program is as follows:
